1. Telangana Govt Quota Seats & Eligibility

Government Quota Seats

  • 85% of seats in Government Colleges
  • 50% of seats in Minority & Non-Minority Private Colleges
  • Army Dental College Seats

Academic Eligibility MBBS & BDS Courses

  • Passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
  • General – 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.
  • SC/ST/BC – 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.
  • PwD – 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.

NEET Rank Eligibility

  • General – 50th percentile
  • SC/ST/BC – 40th percentile
  • PwD – 45th percentile

PwD candidates should get the disability certificate from the Medical Board to be eligible.

2. Local & Non-Local Eligibility

OU (Osmania University) Local

Eligibility (must satisfy any ONE condition):

  • 4 consecutive academic years in OU area ending with the qualifying academic year (OR)
  • Resided in OU area for a period of 4 years immediately preceding the qualifying examination (OR)
  • Maximum period of study in the OU area out of 7 consecutive academic years in the state ending with the qualifying academic year (OR)
  • Maximum period of residence in OU area out of 7 years of residence in the state

Seat Access:

  • 85% OU Local seats
  • 15% Unreserved seats (only in colleges established before June 2, 2014)

AU/SVU Local

Eligibility (must satisfy any ONE condition):

  • 4 consecutive academic years in AU/SVU area ending with the qualifying academic year (OR)
  • Resided in AU/SVU area for a period of 4 years immediately preceding the qualifying examination (OR)
  • Maximum period of study in the AU/SVU area out of 7 consecutive academic years in the state ending with the qualifying academic year (OR)
  • Maximum period of residence in the AU/SVU area out of 7 years of residence in the state ending with the qualifying academic year

Seat Access:

  • 15% Unreserved seats (only in colleges established before June 2, 2014)

Non-Local Candidates

Eligibility (must satisfy any ONE condition):

  • Resided in the State for 10 years or either of the parents have resided in the State for 10 years (OR)
  • Children/spouse of those employed in State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local bodies, Universities and Educational institutions and other similar Quasi Public institutions within the state.

Seat Access:

  • Eligible for 15% Unreserved seats (pre-2014 colleges only)

  • Singareni Collieries Children: In Ramagundam Government Medical College, 5% of state quota seats (rounded to 7 seats) are reserved. Applicable SC/ST/BC reservations still apply. Must provide certificate from Managing Director of Singareni Collieries.

NCC cadets who obtained certificates before their qualifying exam (Intermediate/12th) are eligible for grace marks in NEET.
